Vicki Turnquist is a CEO Advisor at The Bailey Group based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, North America. Vicki Turnquist was the founder and CEO of Private Bank Minnesota (PBM), which was sold in June, 2014. Ms. Turnquist is a highly skilled banking executive, having grown PBM to $175 million in assets. As CEO she had oversight accountability for financial management and direct accountability for production and credit administration staff. She was instrumental in the efforts to identify the buyer, negotiated the sale and then led the transition of clients and assets to the new company. Vicki served on both the bank and holding company boards throughout the organization’s history, demonstrating expertise in board governance in a highly regulated industry. Her responsibility for oversight of asset/liability management, budgeting and financial management helped steer the bank through a very challenging economic time for community banks. Her position also required strong diplomatic and communication skills. Throughout her banking career she has been known for starting and growing business units, and the founding of her own bank was the culmination of that. Ms. Turnquist has been highly recognized in the financial community for her leadership and finance expertise as evidenced by the awards listed below. She has spoken to MBA and undergrad students at the Carlson School and Metro State on community banking topics. And she has been a panelist for the Minnesota Bankers’ Association and Twin West Chamber of Commerce on women in banking, chartering a bank and mentoring. Ms. Turnquist was the keynote speaker for the 2013 Mount Olivet Women in Leadership luncheon. Her writing includes a weekly staff blog she created to emphasize the values and vision of PBM. Vicki has served her community for many years with non-profit board service. She currently serves on the Mount Olivet Lutheran Church Council (a 14,000 member congregation) and the Mount Olivet Long Range Financial Planning Task Force, and the Board of the American Red Cross, Minnesota Region.
