Selcuk Yerci is a Division Coordinator at ODTÜ-GÜNAM based in Ankara, Ankara, Turkiye, Asia. As the Vice President and Division Coordinator at METU GUNAM, the National Research Center for Solar Energy, I lead a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers working on the development and optimization of high-performance solar cells and systems. With over 10 years of academic and industrial experience in the field of photonics and semiconductor devices, I have a strong track record of delivering innovative solutions and publications that advance the state of the art in renewable energy technologies. My research interests span from thin film deposition and materials characterization to simulation, fabrication, and characterization of photonic and semiconductor devices, particularly solar cells. I have authored or co-authored three book chapters, more than 50 journal articles, and many conference proceedings and presentations. I have also been involved in several national and international projects and collaborations, and have received multiple patents and awards for my work. I hold a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics from Middle East Technical University, a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Boston University, and a postdoctoral fellowship in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. My goal is to contribute to the global transition to clean and sustainable energy sources by advancing the science and engineering of solar energy conversion and utilization.
