Michelle Aran is a Chief Executive Officer at Velvet Caviar Group Inc based in Brooklyn, New York, United States, North America. It has been said that necessity is the mother of invention. In 2010 I got my first iPhone and thus started hunting for the perfect case to go with it. Every so often I’d visit the mall to pick out a new design and there was always something cooler than any of the leading phone case brands offered. Therein lay the problem - should I get the pretty ones that were bound to break whenever I dropped my phone or the protective cases that looked plain and generic? In the summer of 2013, I graduated college with plans to enroll in law school, but I chose to launch a career I knew I was truly passionate about (and present a solution to the problem above). I knew I’d be able to attain that sense of purpose and fulfillment if I could create stylish cases that protected phones just as well as the leading brands - and this is where my journey from law cases to phone cases began. After months of research, several initial designs, and selling everything I had to be able to finance my newfound passion, Velvet Caviar launched in February 2014 from my NYC bedroom! Tagged “Pretty yet Protective”, it blew up on social media not long after as our phone case designs captured the hearts of people. Based in Brooklyn, NY, together with my amazing and passionate team, we continue to design the most iconic phone and tech accessories that people love; and we are proud to share our passion with over 1,000,000 Velvet Caviar customers along with dozens of retail partners worldwide!
