Matthew Roth is a Chief Executive Officer at Community Reinvestment Fund, USA based in Greater Chicago Area, United States, North America. Entrepreneurial leader with demonstrated achievement in community development financial services. My skills are in building and leading teams, financial and strategic acumen, and raising both debt and equity capital in the service of community development. After "cutting my teeth" in credit/risk management/strategic planning for Harris Bank in Chicago, I created and ran Harris' Hispanic Banking program. In this capacity, I opened three branches in Latino communities, developed a wire transfer service, and created a bi-lingual call center and Spanish-language website. I then spent five years consulting to ShoreBank, the largest community development bank in the US, and consulted to its entire range of nonprofit affiliates. I then served as lead organizer for Generations Community Bank, which would have been a Black-owned bank and CDFI on Chicago's South Side. We received regulatory approvals but as this was during 2008-2012, we did not open. Soon thereafter, I was given the opportunity to serve as IFF's first Chief Operating Officer (see below), and with a reorganization in 2018 I was promoted to serve as President of IFF's CDFI.
