Martyn Croston is a CEO & Founder at BuzzPiano based in Bromley, England, United Kingdom, Europe. Jazz pianist and piano teacher, performing at events and weddings in London and the South East. Teaching piano to students of all ages and abilities. Founder of BuzzPiano, an online piano course for adults who want to play songs on the piano. ABOUT ME: I started playing the piano from the age of 7. I was self taught to start with, spending time learning chords and playing songs. My first performance was at a school assembly at the age of 9, performing Hello by Lionel Richie. I took classical piano lessons when I was a teenager, and learnt to read sheet music and play classical pieces. However, playing songs and chords has always been my passion. After finishing school, I studied music at the University of Bristol, before moving to Russia to teach English and study jazz piano there. After this, I received a scholarship to study for a Masters in Jazz Piano Performance at Western Michigan University in the USA. I currently teach privately at my home in London and at various schools. In recent years one of my pupils got through to the semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent 2017. I also perform as a solo pianist and with various bands at weddings and functions. Notable performances include playing with The Velvelettes and former members of Manfred Mann and Jamiroquai.
