Jay Van Buren is a Co-Founder & CEO at MEMBIT INC. based in San Jose, California, United States, North America. I'm a creative tech leader and experienced creative director and product manager. I have both the vision to imagine new innovations and the technical understanding, practical experience and people skills to make them actually happen. I’ve mentored and managed designers, software engineers, QA technicians, writers, photographers and videographers across industries like education, non-profits, museums, luxury goods, retail shopping centers, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare. I have assembled and lead cross-functional teams to create cutting edge websites, interactive video installations, print campaigns, events, advertising campaigns, videos, mobile apps, and augmented reality and virtual reality software products. I always keep an eye on the experience of the end user, creating joy, surprise and delight by combining new technology with a deep understanding of human nature fostered by my training in fine art and the humanities. For the past 15 years I’ve been focused the industry some are calling Immersive Computing, XR/VR/AR, Spacial Computing, or mixed reality. Whatever you call it, I love it, and I believe it is going to change how we do absolutely everything. I’ve been leading the teams that brought innovative AR and VR products to market, first with Early-Adopter, an augmented reality and virtual reality for education company that I sold to The Glimpse Group (NASDAQ: VRAR) in 2018, and then with Membit, the easiest-to-use no-code augmented reality creation tool on the market today.
