Darin and Rich were co-CEOs throughout its 26 year history. After years of success and numerous accolades, Darin and Rich reached an agreement leading to Gas South’s acquisition of Infinite Energy which concluded at the end of 2020. Under their leadership, Darin and Rich built an incredible business from 2 partners to 375 employees, $500M in sales per year and a consistent ranking in Florida Trend’s Top 50 for revenue and Top Employer Rankings. Infinite Energy was one of the best large companies to work in Florida according to “Florida Trend” for five times in the last 9 years of its existence. 4. Starting in 2016 and ending in 2020, Darin received the Gator 100 award from the University of Florida for three different companies. This award is given to the 100 fastest growing companies owned or operated by an alumnus of the University of Florida. 5. In 2021 Darin received the Ethics in Business Award from the Rotary Club of Gainesville. Usually only of these awards is given per year, but his business partner, Rich Blaser, also received this award. 6. In 2016 Darin received from the University of Florida the Pinnacle award for “achievement in building a high growth company that has had transformative impact on employees, customers and the community”. 7. Darin and his brother Jason Cook received a patent in 2016 for designing a product for a company Darin owned called Infinite Music. That patent was titled “Computer Keyboard Instrument And Improved System for Learning Music.”
