The three practices developed - clinic, community and office-based, served to pioneer sustainable patient-focused care programs participating on the front lines of practice transformation. Notable practice accomplishments include the implementation of formal medication management service products such as the Concept Pharmacy Project, the APhA Foundation Patient Self-Management Program (Asheville Project) and the development of the first immunizing pharmacy in Wisconsin. A founding member of the Wisconsin Pharmacy Quality Collaborative, this practice continues to drive opportunity through the testing and expansion of roles for the pharmacist to include increased accountability for drug therapy outcomes. Brian developed the first Community Practice Residency Program in Wisconsin and continues to support advanced training of students and residents. The constant in these practices has been a commitment to patient care recognized on a state and national level for innovation. A 1980 graduate of the UW School of Pharmacy , his current activities focus on defining and investing in practice excellence with the measuring, reporting, comparing and rewarding of its achievement as a force for change. .
