Alaa Abuadas is a Founder/Owner at Rimalee Sand Art based in Placentia, California, United States, North America. ✨ Hi there! ✨ I’m an Arab Muslim-American inspired to write and direct stories about Arab/Muslim narratives, Native American experiences, Wildlife conservation, environmental sciences and more. I experienced a traumatic event as an 8-year-old post 9/11 – it is what drove me to storytelling with the goal of changing society’s outdated and dangerous portrayals of Muslims/Arabs in the media. 📌 My Background: I have worked as a production coordinator at an independent production company; as a distribution/outreach coordinator with a feature documentary film and as a production assistant/coordinator on many short film productions. 📣 Due to COVID, I shifted gears and began working full-time as a substitute teacher and tutor. However, I have been making strides in building myself professionally and creatively to progress in my film career. 👩🏻💻 What am I doing at the moment? - Developing my small business: Rimalee Sand Art - Funding my short film @Respireshortfilm to raise awareness about Pulmonary Hypertension ❣️ What’s important to me? - Wildlife advocacy - Environmentalism - Human Rights - Edutainment ☺️ What do I enjoy? - Tennis and Football ⚽️ - Video Games (story driven) - Volunteering at my local masjid - Traveling - Netflix's limited series - Learning new languages Happy to connect :)
